After years of working experience within the car wash industry, Wim Muskens noticed that alternatives were needed for brushes for car wash installations. For this reason, Brushcom was founded in 2007 and son Roel also found his place within the company. Brushcom was mainly focused on the import and distribution of brushes in the beginning. Fairly quickly, textile brushes were developed inhouse which didn’t differ much from existing brushes in the industry. For production of these brushes, investments were made in machinery among which a CNC cutting machine.
Dedicated to set the standard for brush material in the car wash industry, possibilities were identified to improve the products. This resulted in the development of Hybrid material, a combination of conventional textile and foam. A few years later, the Hybrid+ top brush was developed which combines Hybrid material and Star-Shaped foam. These Brushcom innovations are still unrivaled in washing power, safety and durability.
In 2016, investments were made in 3D software to further innovate the design of brushes. This has taken color designs, brush contours and the development of full express car wash projects to the next level. These design innovations contribute to the customer experience in car washes while further improving washing performance. Besides this, investments were made in a (test) facility ‘The Carwash’ at the Kantsingel in Oss. Not only the performance of the materials is monitored here, but also new innovations are tested in a fully operational environment.
At this very moment, Roel has taken over the company and the role of Brushcom within the international car wash industry is getting bigger and bigger. Brushcom is dynamic, innovative and dedicated to set the standard within the car wash industry. High quality and optimal performance of brush materials will create durable customer relationships now and in the future.
