PX Polyethylene

Material information

The traditional first generation car wash brushes were made from extruded polyethylene. PX material is available in 0.8 mm and 1.0 mm with or without splitted ends. The thin strings of PX material follow the contours of the car and have optimal contact.

PX polyethylene brushes are mainly used for wheel washers. Throughout the years, better brush materials have been developed for bodywork. Other applications for polyethylene are train and truck wash installations.
